On Being Blue

So...I have these recurring dreams...

In one, I was dancing around my room and, suddenly, became the Genie from "Aladdin."  I was singing and dancing and making fun of people and things.

In another, I was auditioning for "Wicked," and the people came back and told me "You got the part!"  I was all, "Which witch am I?"  They said, "No, you got the part of the Genie...in 'Aladdin'."  I was all, "That is sooooo much cooler!"

And in another, I was asked by Disney which part I wanted to play in any of their musicals.  I told them the Genie, and they made me the Genie on Broadway!

But, I feel I must mention that, just when I feel I'm starting to forget about the Genie, he appears.  Whether it's a post on FB, Twitter, or the Internet, or one of the movies...he shows up and reminds me with a smile, "Hey, you!  Yeah, you, girl, sitting there on your computer!  Girl with the singing talent and the crazy sense of humor!  You want to be me!"

So...yeah...it keeps happening...this weekend it was me flipping channels to find "Return of Jafar" on Disney.  I had to laugh!

While I prefer "Aladdin," I had to watch it once just to get my Genie fix.  Gotta love the blue guy! ^.^  "You ain't never had a friend like me!"
